Saisho-no

The Saisho-no are the individuals in command of the Mizu Ketto. Typically, the Saisho-no have ultimate authority over each unit and can and will run them as they see fit. While Fukushō are responsible for being the head of the units, Saisho-no are the ones who advise on and sometimes tell the Fukushō what to do. In this respect, commanding Saisho-no have significant responsibilities, for example, the use of force, such as the Senshi or Shikei, welfare of those under their law.

Fukushō

These individuals are required to provide supplementary or additional support to the Saisho-no and carry out orders to their assigned units. They help ensure the safety and well-being of the pack and are counted on to dictate the on-goings within it when the Tribunes aren't able to be present. They are also appointed by the Saisho-no to govern one or more of the ranks, which they are in a way required to be specialized in.

Chiryō-shi

Chiryō-shi are extremely skilled in the art of healing and engaged in general medical practice. They examine, diagnose, and treat patients who have been harmed. They apply medical knowledge and skills to the diagnosis, prevention, and mangement of injuries. They have many ways of actually healing their fellow pack-mates from their wounds, mostly through herbs and berries. They have their own little cavern inside the Mori Den, where they sleep, store herbs, and treat wounded or sick individuals. However, they are not just required to help others with physical wounds. Chiryō-shi are entitled to mentor and share with others on how to deal with mentally or emotional troubles as well, create a sense of balance for others, and generally provide guidance and direction for those in need. They specialize in helping others with their inner-most problems, and help find solutions. They are amazing secret keepers, as they know many, if not all, and have yet to tell a soul. They are skilled at mending wounds both physical and within.

Senshi

The Senshi are thick, strong, and lean wolves that protect and guard the pack. They are the main fighting force of the Mizu Ketto and have the responsibility of challenging all trespassers, patrolling and defending the territory, and watching over the Mori Den. They have plentiful knowledge in heavy combat and are engaged or experienced in actual warfare. These individuals are the soldiers and sentinels of Mizu Ketto.

Shikei

The Shikei are the lithe, quick wolves of the Mizu Ketto who can jump high to catch birds such as hawks or eagles, who are fast enough to snatch a rabbit, and are strong enough to take down a wild boar. Shikei are required to do only one thing: catch prey. They are the hunters of the pack, using a variety of traits such as stealth and surprise along with camouflage to catch their food. It is their responsibility to feed, especially for those nursing pups, and the young and old. They depend on speed, for there are limited places for a large predator to hide. Normally Shikei hunt in teams to take down the larger prey such as deer or mountain goats. A Senshi or two often accompany them to spot and take care of trouble that the Shikei might not be able to handle.

Erudāzu

The Erudāzu are some of the most respected members of the pack, as while some may be tired and weak, they have or have had a life of experiences. This rank is essentially the state of being in the latter portion of one's life and being looked to for counseling in either a passive or active nature. It commonly involves a ceremonial investiture of some kind, and other times it does not, it really depends on the circumstances during the time. The rank involves a definite chronological or spiritual milestone which had been passed, while other times the required age is simply relative to the physical or mental state of the person in question.

Uba

These canines are ordinary individuals who are the members of neither unit or authority nor Erudāzu who are required to assist, and rarely, if ever, ascend in position. This is usually do to their lack of skill-sets that are required to become a part of any of the units, because they have a trait that hinders their performance, or simply because they don't want to. Because they wouldn't be allowed to stay within the pack if they didn't do any work, they are required to aid units, take care of the pups, and very often run errands for the Chiryō-shi.

Shōnen

The Shōnen rank includes both those who are not old enough to train, and the young canines already in training. They cannot leave the Mori Den without the permission of their mentor or another member of the pack.
Apprentice — These are the older portion of the Shōnen who train with their mentors and work on learning the skills of what rank they plan to be in. They earn this title at the age of two months. While their agenda would usually say train, the tasks of these wolves include hunting, patrolling with other wolves of Mizu Ketto, and looking after the elders, mostly taking ticks out of their pelts. Apprentices can change their position as a Senshi, Shikei, or Chiryō-shi apprentice if they get permission.
Pup — Pups are young canines that are not yet apprentices. They are too young to do apprentice duties, so they stay in the Nursery with their mother. Pups aren't allowed to ascend their ranking until they are two months old.

Gaikoku

Wolves who have recently arrived in the territory and may deem potential pack-mates. They are the new faces, freshly discovered, who either aren't quite yet officially apart of the Mizu Ketto, or haven't decided really haven't decided whether or not they want to stay.
